When we grew up, we
didn't agree on much.
No dolls, no tea parties,
no coloring and such.
We were taught to love
what we had.
And be grateful when we
were sad.
We were not friends in our
younger years.
We were never allowed to
shed our tears.
We learned to never give up
and strive for what's right.
And we held our ground
when it came to a fight.
No one ever won, but the
battle had brought us through.
The tough times in our life,
they taught us too.
It has taken years for our
friendship to grow.
This was written to tell
her I love her so.
You see, My Sister, My Angel
has strength from above.
Her courage and hope
she gives with her love.
She amazes me everyday, as she
tries to stay strong.
Smiling and acting as if
nothing is wrong.
Caring for those she has
done all her life.
All she ever wanted was to be
a good wife.
Now God has a plan that not one
of us can see.
And I know that her journey is
teaching me.
I've learned that no matter what
happens today.
That I can trust in God to show
me the way.
That's the gift, My Sister, My Angel
has given to me.
And I will be grateful for
eternity.
